Welcome to the Profit Tool Belt, I’m glad you stopped by! I’ll be sharing tools, tips, techniques, and other information gleaned from years of consulting, not to mention the trial and error of running my own businesses, to help you manage the profits in your business more effectively. Notice I said “manage the profits.” Most business owners manage their time, they manage their staff, they manage their expenses, they manage their sales, they manage almost everything except the profits. This blog will help you change that.
Along the way, we’ll be looking at the Real Estate Market as well. Why? For two reasons. First, the real estate market drives a huge chunk of the economy. When someone buys a house, it affects the Realtors, mortgage bankers, lawyers, appraisers, title companies, etc. Then we get the movers and the pizza delivery folks. Next, we see the impact in appliances, paint, curtains, furniture, and similar businesses. Then nurseries, landscapers, home improvement centers, restaurants, and on and on. So staying in touch with the real estate market gives us a good indication of the overall economy. The second reason is that I have a real estate company, and I really enjoy talking about real estate, almost as much as I enjoy talking about small business and business success. So bear with me, and keep coming back.
A Word of Warning: Frequenting this blog could cause you to change the way you think about profits, and even the way you think about your business. That change in thinking will lead to changes in your business behavior, which, in turn, will lead to changes in your results. You could drastically increase your income. You might work fewer hours. You might even do both! That could affect your family life, your health, and the future of our entire planet*. So please, proceed with caution.
